awesome ride

Polished off a 45 miler this morning.

Felt great during the whole thing!
I got a lot of rest during the week, and I hydrated like crazy.
But (I think) what really pushed me through was that I kept on hydrating, and eating throughout the ride. I ate

1) 160 calorie pack of cheetos
2) a peanut butter and jelly sandwich
3) a snickers bar

and drank a whole mess of water!

I think what's going to make or break this for me- nutrition. I should start paying more attention to my meals between Thursday afternoon and Saturday morning (or, you know *gasp* all week!)

Zube park is a great place to start off a ride- there were probably hundreds of bikers around the area (we got passed by 3 or 4 groups of 20).
The third leg of the ride started off with rolling hills. It was so exciting. Exciting is a synonym for painful, right?
Haha, seriously though, hills get the blood pumping! And people got to play around with their gears, so they're more familiar with that!
